Genmai Miso – Brown rice & soybean paste. A Japanese macobiotic food. Genmai miso is traditionally fermented for roughly one year to create a hearty, nutrient rich food with an authentic Japanese flavor.
How to use: Bring 2 cups vegetable stock or water to a boil. Add chosen vegetables and /or wakame and cook till softened. Reduce heat to simmer, add 2 tsps of miso diluted in a bit of water. Do not boil as it will lose its fresh aroma and destroy the enzymes. Simmer for a minute and serve hot. Genmai miso’s pleasant mild flavor is ideal for soups.
Ingredients: organic brown rice, spring water, organic non-GMO whole soybeans, sea salt.
Storage Instructions: Keep in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. After opening: seal and store in refrigeration.
