Mugi Miso – Barley & Soybean Paste. Japanese macrobiotic food.
Mugi Miso is fermented for about one year in traditional Cedar wood barrels to create a hearty, earthy aroma.
How to use: Bring 2 cups vegetable stock or water to a boil. Add chosen vegetables and /or wakame and cook till softened. Reduce heat to simmer, add 2 tsps of miso diluted in a bit of water. Do not boil as it will lose its fresh aroma and destroy the enzymes. Simmer for a minute and serve hot. Mugi Miso’s pleasant mild flavor is ideal for soups.
Ingredients: organic barley, spring water, organic non-GMO whole soybeans sea salt.
Storage Instructions: Keep in a cool dry place away from sunlight. After opening, seal and store in refrigeration.
