Venison Shanks / Potjie.
This week’s venison of the week is Blue Wildebeest. It is a beautiful venison with a very soft flavor. All cuts work best on an open flame – these cuts are beautiful for Spring and Summer braai-ing.
This is a great clean protein option as these animals live in a natural game habitat and only eat their natural diet from grazing.
Cooking Suggestion – These disks of shank have a beautiful bone, are cut into disks and great for a long slow cook or potjie.
